Love for Oldschool

Around six years ago, when I first got into Lolita, solid colors and black & white still ruled the style palette.
Japanese brands started bringing out more and more printed pieces, but when I started out with my wardrobe it were the solid colors that occupied my wardrobe. A while back our community had the lovely idea of organizing an old-school meetup!

It was the perfect chance to give my very first brand purchase a modern twist ~

I wanted to create a porcelain doll look with my make-up, often seen with oldschool. For the more modern details I wore an chiffon overskirt, tights (instead of kneesocks) and went with elegant shoes instead of the more clunky ones often seen with oldschool. Bringing this coordination together really rekindled my love for this older piece, just look at that detailed cotton lace!
I’m really happy with how the look turned out!
